On March 25, 2019 Danquirs Franklin, 27, was shot and killed by CMPD officer Wende Kerl at a Burger King on Beatties Ford Road
Seconds into the shooting, a officer can be heard yelling “Stay the fuck off the radio.”
Wende can be heard saying, “I shot him, he pulled a gun, he wouldn’t drop it. I had no choice.”
A officer can be heard on video comforting Wende with these words:
” Looky here you got kids at home you’re going to see them, that is what matters.”
Prosecutors are looking into whether to charge Officer Wende with a crime or not.
