On June 17, 2021 a 24-year-old father was shot in front of 2 kids in Bronx, New York. The two children are 5 and 10 years old, the kids were with the male victim.
The adult victim was walking with the kids on the sidewalk when a violent assailant dressed in black ran up and shot the victim several times. The kids were right beside the victim when the shots were fired; the kids were terrified.
The victim was shot multiple times and required hospitalization. The girl is seen on video holding her brother and forcing him to the ground in an act of protection.
The two kids were not physically injured during this shooting, but the mental trauma the kids endured will likely last a lifetime.
The suspect has not been arrested.
