Min Cordero, 29, is accused of stealing $18,000 worth of catalytic converter parts from the Victory Chevrolet dealership located at 717 Rhyne Road Charlotte, NC.
Shortly before 5:00 a.m., on August 22, 2021, officers responded to a suspicious person call for service at the Victory Chevrolet dealership.
Officers were directed to the rear of the business, where they located two people crouched next to a Chevy truck. The suspects allegedly removed catalytic converters from six vehicles at the dealership, causing approximately $18,000 in damage.
At the sight of the officers, both suspects ran away. After a short foot pursuit, officers were able to apprehend Cordero without further incident.
The K9 unit responded to assist in locating the second suspect, but they were unable to locate the suspect. Property was found that belonged to the suspects.
Following an criminal interview, Cordero was charged with four counts of felony larceny of motor vehicle parts, two counts of attempted felony larceny of motor vehicle parts, four counts of injury to property to obtain non-ferrous metals, two counts of injury to personal property, conspiracy to commit felony larceny, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, first degree trespassing, and restrict a public officer.
