VICTIM KILLED AFTER FIRE TRUCK COLLIDES WITH MAN ON MOTORCYCLE

Anderson Fairley, 26, died on Jan. 30, 2022 on Pineville-Matthews Road Charlotte, NC after his motorcycle collided with a Charlotte Fire Department truck.

At 5:36 p.m. an emergency call for service was received by Charlotte Fire to respond to a medical incident at the 7700 block of Little Ave.

Charlotte Fire truck 24 was responding to the call and was in route to the scene.

At approximately 5:40 p.m. while truck 24 was in route, the fire truck was involved in a motor vehicle accident involving a motorcycle on Pineville-Matthews Road.

The motorcycle and fire truck collided with each other. Anderson was the driver of the motorcycle.

The crew of the fire truck immediately began treating Anderson on scene.

Mecklenburg County EMS transported Anderson to an area hospital. Unfortunately, Anderson was pronounced deceased. The accident is under investigation by police.
