Deadly consequences are still arising from the out of control riots on the United States Capital building that occurred on January 6, 2021 by President Donald Trump supporters. Two U.S. Capitol cops are now dead. Howard Liebengood, 51, killed himself after the riots and Brian Sicknick died as a result of the riots; they were both United States Capitol cops.
On January 9, 2021, Howard committed suicide via an unknown means. Howard was assigned to the Senate Division, and had been with the department since April 2005.
U.S. Capitol police were seen in several videos just letting rioters enter the United States Capitol and break windows. President Trump supporters were rioting because they were angry over the November 2020 presidential election results. The election declared Joe Biden and Kamala Harris the President and Vice President of the United States of America.
Brian Sicknick died on January 7, 2021 after sustaining violent injuries during the deadly riot on the U.S. Capitol building. Brian was in a mob of several protesters, during which Brain sustained a massive injury. Brain made it to a division office where he collapsed from his injuries.
A day later, Brain died from a wound to the head.
