Michael Sio-Somah, 16, and Marcus Joubert, 19, are both charged with the murder of Calvin Haines, 24. The murder occurred in Charlotte, NC at a party in an Air BNB rental residence.
Calvin was shot and killed on June 12, 2019.
Close to midnight three males were shot in a stairwell of an apartment building at 305 N. Graham Street. Calvin died at the scene. Two of the victims were transported to Atrium Health Carolina’s Medical Center. There was also a fourth additional male victim that was shot at the scene; the fourth victim later showed up at Novant hospital with a gunshot wound.
As a result of continued investigation into this case, Marcus and Sio-Somah were identified as suspects, and warrants were issued for their arrest. The two suspects were arrested on June 26. Marcus was charged with murder and shooting into occupied property. Sio-Somah was charged with murder.
