TWO PEOPLE KILLED AFTER COLLISION WITH TWO DUMP TRUCKS

South Carolina State Highway Patrol troopers are investigating after two people were killed in a crash involving two dump trucks and an SUV near Pageland, SC.

The crash was on April 28, 2020 around 7 a.m. on Highway 9 at Dudley Road. The collision involved two dump trucks that were hauling sand and an SUV.

According to troopers, the SUV was on Dudley Road when the driver crossed into the path of the a dump truck heading west on Highway 9. The dump truck slammed into the SUV, which then collided with another dump truck traveling on the highway.

A fire erupted due to the collision. One dump truck driver was flown to an area hospital with serious injuries.

The SUV driver and the other dump truck driver were both pronounced dead at the scene.
