TWO KILLED IN DOUBLE MURDER, ONE VICTIM STABBED, ONE VICTIM SHOT TO DEATH

Two men lost their life to violence in Charlotte, NC on Saturday night.

Mario Reynolds, 38, was shot and killed on Saturday March 28, 2020, at around 9:00 p.m. Several minutes earlier Hector Cruz was stabbed to death on Mont Carmel Lane.

Daniel Pereyra-Nandayapa, 37, is charged with the murder of Hector.

Officers responded to a shooting on Irma Street. When they arrived, they located Mario with an apparent gunshot wound. The victim was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, but eventually died at the hospital.

Homicide Unit detectives responded to the scene to conduct an investigation, and Crime Scene Search responded to process the scene and collect physical evidence.  Representatives from the Operations Command, Victim Services, CFD, MEDIC and the Mecklenburg County District Attorney’s Homicide Prosecution Team also assisted.
