Furquan Thompson, 19, is charged with the Charlotte, NC murder of Carnis Poindexter, 43. Carnis was murdered on Jan 1st and was the first homicide of 2019.
Furquan was arrested today by Violent Crime Apprehension Team detectives. Furquan is charged with 1st Degree Murder, Shooting into Occupied Dwelling, and 5 counts of ADW with intent to Kill.
Carnis was already on trial for torturing a teenager for three days in June 2018.
