On September 23, 2021 police detectives with the Crimes Against Children Unit in Charlotte, NC arrested Tyquan Osborne, 22, after a 14-year-old girl was raped.
On September 15, 2021, a 14-year-old girl was walking her dog on West Sugar Creek Road Charlotte, NC. A suspect approached her and engaged in a casual conversation.
It was then that a suspect physically forced the teenage girl into a car and took her to another location where the girl was raped. The girl was let go after the alleged rape. The girl called police and she was treated at a local hospital, a rape kit was performed and DNA evidence was collected.
Tyquan was charged in this case. Tyquan faces three counts of statutory rape, three counts of indecent liberties with a child, first-degree kidnapping, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of a stolen firearm, and carrying a concealed weapon.
