Logan Gurley, 16, died on July 8, 2024 while swimming in Tega Cay, South Carolina at Lake Wylie. Logan was a basketball player that attended Fort Mill High School.
Logan was swimming with friends in the lake around the afternoon time. A strong under current forced Logan underneath the dark murky waters. Follow Charlotte Alerts on Instagram.
Logan tried to swim to stay above water, as he was very tall. But his strong human physical endurance was no match for the natural waters, even though Logan was a good swimmer.
Emergency dive teams had to come in and pull Logan from the water, but sadly he was already dead via drowning.
