Detectives with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department’s Homicide Unit have charged Ziaire Mayo, 19, with the murder of Keontez Stephens, 22. The victim was murdered on July 28, 2020 on Westwinds Court Charlotte, NC.
Keontez was located in the street with an apparent gunshot wound. Paramedics arrived and transported him to Atrium Health’s Carolinas Medical Center, where he was pronounced deceased a short time later.
As a result of continued investigation, homicide unit detectives identified Ziaire as a suspect, and a murder warrant was issued for his arrest.
