23-year-old Pedro Diaz-Paz (Seen here) was shot and killed on Monday night at the Beacon Ridge apartment complex located on Beacon Ridge Drive.
An off-duty CMPD officer was inside the apartment complex at the time of the shooting and heard multiple gunshots coming from the parking lot.
The officer immediately responded and located Pedro inside of a pickup truck shot. The officer performed CPR on Pedro but was unsuccessful in saving his life. Pedro died on the scene.
The investigation is in its early stages.
