SHOOTOUT ON NATIONS FORD ROAD LEADS TO ARREST OF TWO MEN

Christopher Brinkley, 28, and Horace McCorey, 33, are suspects in a shooting that occurred on Nations Ford Rd Charlotte, NC.

On October 1, 2019, at 11:10 p.m., a shooting occurred near the intersection of Nations Ford Road and Huntsmoor Drive. When officers arrived, they observed a vehicle with numerous bullet holes fleeing the scene at a high rate of speed as well as a a suspect on foot leaving a location of numerous shell casings.  

A traffic stop was conducted on the fleeing vehicle and contact was made with the suspect on foot.

Officials say Christopher and Horace exchanged gunfire after a brief altercation between one-another. No one was injured, but a vehicle allegedly driven by Horace and occupied by two additional people was struck by gunfire numerous times.

Horace is a convicted felon and has prior charges consisting of robbery, assault and weapon-related offenses officials say. He is charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. 

Christopher, who officials say has prior charges consisting of robbery, assault, weapon and drug-related offenses, is now charged with three counts of assault with a deadly weapon with the intent to kill and shooting into occupied property.
