On July 17, 2024 Dequayvius Young, 29, plead guilty to murdering Christopher McGill, 35, in Charlotte, NC. Follow Charlotte Alerts on Instagram.
Christopher was murdered on July 24, 2022 on Queen City Drive. Several shots were fired at 1:30 a.m. and Christopher was hit. Emergency responders arrived at the scene and loaded the victim in an ambulance.
Christopher died at the hospital. Dequayvius was arrested on the same day and charged with murder.
Fast forward to July 2024, Dequayvius decided to plead guilty to second degree murder and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
A judge then sentenced Dequayvius to a consolidated sentence of 300-372 months in prison.
