26-year-old Raeonna Watson killed her 7-month old baby girl Jade Williams in Charlotte, NC. New court findings show Raeonna pled guilty to felony child abuse and only got 12 years in prison. The findings were just discovered on March 3, 2025. Follow Charlotte Alerts on Instagram.

Raeonna killed her baby daughter on January 28, 2019, at 4:55 a.m. Cops responded to Galena View Drive in reference to a 911 call.
EMS arrived and found baby Jade unconscious, they began life saving efforts on Jade.
The baby was then rushed via ambulance to the hospital. It was at Atrium Health Hospital that baby Jade died during emergency care.
Raeonna was arrested charged with murder. Years later during trial Raeonna pled guilty to felony child abuse and was sentenced to 143 months in prison, she got credit for 863 days she served in jail while awaiting trial.
In exchange the murder charge was dismissed without leave. There is still no indication as to how baby Jade was killed.
Raeonna likely had post partum depression. That disorder affects many women with newborn babies.
