Shikerra Pickett, 33, was killed on October 23, 2021 on Eastway Drive Charlotte, NC. Shikerra had several loving children. Shikerra died after her birthday celebration.
Shikerra’s birthday was on October 22, 2021 and after a celebration into the night, she was driving home on Eastway Drive on October 23, 2021 at 4:53 a.m.
Shikerra was driving a Nissan vehicle, authorities say she drove out of her lane to the left into oncoming traffic and collided head-on with a Honda vehicle. The driver of the Honda was wearing a seat belt. Speed and impairment do not seem to be contributing factors for the Honda driver.
The Honda had front-end damage and the Nissan had heavy front-end damage. The driver of the Honda sustained serious injuries and was transported my medic to Atrium Health Main.
Shikerra was pronounced deceased on scene. Toxicology test results are pending for Shikerra.
