A woman killed her son and then killed her dog, she says the devil made her do it
35-year-old Tasha Haefs is charged with the murder of her 6-year-old child Karvel Stevens in Kansas City, MO. The child was decapitated on February 15, 2022 inside a home.
Tasha called police on February 15th saying that someone was trying to harm her. Tasha then said the devil was trying to attack her. Tasha denied having any mental illness and hung up the phone.
Police arrived at the home in question and saw blood dripping at the front door. Tasha was heard singing inside of the home, but she would not open the door when cops knocked.
A officer looked inside the house and saw a child’s head cut off.
That is when police forced their way inside the home via the back door. Tasha was seen with blood on her legs and feet. As officers moved through the home, Tasha’s son Karvel was found decapitated.
A decapitated dog was also found in the home. Prosecutors say that Tasha admitted to killing her son and the dog, stating the devil made her do it.
Tasha was arrested and charged with first degree murder and armed criminal action.
