4-year-old Sequoia Samuels was found dead in bags on June 15, 2023 in Memphis, Tennessee. Sequoia’s mother identified as Britteny Jackson, 24, was arrested. Jaylon Hobson, 21, was also arrested, Jaylon is Britteny’s boyfriend.
Sequoia used a feed tube to eat. Sequoia was reportedly beaten to death, her body was then put into garbage bags and stored in the apartment she lived at with her mom, cops say.
Sequoia was reported missing in early June 2023.
But according to court documents, Sequoia’s corpse remained inside the apartment for several weeks, the bags containing Sequoia’s body were then dumped into a garbage container at the apartment complex parking lot.
Authorities searched for Sequoia, she was found dead in trash bags at the apartment dumpster.
Britteny has been charged with aggravated child neglect, abuse of a corpse, and filing a false police report. Jaylon was arrested as well and charged with filing a false police report.
