
On July 16, 2024 Jimareo Sherrill, 31, pled guilty to felony financial card fraud. Jimareo’s highest education is a GED, court documents say. A man with the same name won $1 million in the lottery at the Walmart on North Tryon St. in Charlotte.

In 2021 Jimareo accessed stolen company credit cards from a business identified as Jenkins Restorations. Jimareo and other suspects used 3 stolen business credit cards from the company to make over $22,000 worth of unauthorized transactions.
Police caught up with Jimareo and he was arrested in 2022 charged with financial card fraud and theft.
In January 2024 a man named Jimareo Sherrill won the $1 million lottery at the Walmart on North Tryon Street in Charlotte. It is not known for sure if Jimareo Sherrill the convicted criminal is the same Jimareo Sherill that is now a millionaire.
In July 2024 Jimareo pled guilty to financial card fraud and the judge sentenced him to 4-14 months in prison; that sentence was suspended pending his completion of 18 months of supervised probation. Click here to see other lottery stories.
