The accident occurred in Charlotte, NC. Mr. Maddox was a basketball star on Team United, which is a traveling basketball team through Nike.
In a ridiculous plea deal Dylan will not serve any prison time and got off with probation.
Mr. Maddox was hit and killed while riding his bike on Old Concord Road. Dyaln is a UNC Charlotte student who was driving with a revoked license and going 73 mph in a 45 mph zone when he collided with Mr. Maddox.
On Thursday prosecutors agreed to a plea deal. Dylan pleaded guilty to misdemeanor death by vehicle, in return he will spend no time in prison, but he will be on probation for two years with barred driving privileges.
The Maddox family is outraged.
