MAN KILLED IN FIERY CRASH ON INDEPENDENCE BOULEVARD, CAR FLIPPED OVER

Date:

43-year-old Lerico Washington was killed on July 15, 2020 after a vehicle he was driving flipped and caught fire on Independence Blvd. Charlotte, NC.

Evidence indicates that Lerico was traveling in the afternoon when his vehicle veered across 3 lanes of travel to the right. The vehicle then left the roadway, struck a fence, and overturned where it caught fire. Lerico died on scene as a result of the injuries he sustained.

Speed does not appear to be a factor. The cause of the crash is unknown.
