MAN KILLED BY U.S. MARSHALS AT CITGO GAS STATION IN CHARLOTTE

On March 23, 2021 a man was shot and killed by United States Marshalls at the Citgo gas station near the intersection of The Plaza and Parkwood Avenue in Charlotte, NC.

U.S. Marshalls were serving an arrest warrant on a wanted male suspect. The suspect was pumping gas at the Citgo when U.S. Marshalls approached him to make the arrest. A U.S. Marshalls agent says an imminent lethal threat was presented by the suspect, so the U.S. Marshall shot and killed the man.

A gun was found at the scene allegedly in possession of the suspect. The suspect was wanted for assault on a law enforcement officer, possession of a firearm by a felon, and discharging a firearm.
