Chris Jordan, 28, was killed on Saturday, January 9, 2021 on Independence Blvd. Charlotte, NC.
A Honda vehicle was traveling in the center lane when it struck Chris who was walking. Officials say Chris was not in a marked crosswalk and was wearing dark clothing. Speed and impairment are not factors for the driver. It is unknown if Chris was impaired, but toxicology results are pending. The driver of the Honda was not charged in this crash.
The driver was transported to a hospital with minor injuries. Chris was located unresponsive in the roadway and transported by medics to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. Chris was pronounced deceased a short time later due to injuries sustained in the crash.
