50-year-old Brian Cathey was killed on August 29th, 2019 around 11 at night in Charlotte, NC.
A vehicle crash occurred on The Plaza.
A Subaru Impreza was traveling on The Plaza in the right-hand lane when pedestrian Brain Cathey allegedly stepped from the curb into the path of the Subaru. Brian was struck by the vehicle.
The driver of the Subaru immediately stopped the vehicle and called 911, while remaining at the scene.
Brian was found laying on the curb with his legs in the roadway. Brain was transported to Atrium Health’s Carolinas Medical Center where he was pronounced deceased by hospital staff.
The Subaru driver was screened for impairment, as there were no signs of impairment detected. Speed is not suspected as a contributing factor of the crash.
