MAN GETS KICKED OUT THE HOUSE AND SHOOTS HIS EX’S SON

Louis Blackmon, 58, was found guilty of assault with a deadly weapon with the intent to kill inflicting serious injury in Charlotte, NC on November 8, 2019. Louis shot at the son of a woman he had a prior romantic relationship with.

Louis had dated the victim’s mother for about 15 years, and Louis was angry about recently being kicked out of their shared residence. In October 2018, when Louis saw the victim walking down Covecreek Drive in Charlotte, Louis approached the victim, pulled out a handgun and shot the victim four times, including once in the chest.

The victim survived his injuries and testified at trial against his assailant.

In November 2019 a judge sentenced Louis to 67-93 months in prison.
