Detectives with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department’s Homicide Unit are conducting a homicide investigation on Kings Ridge Drive Charlotte NC. One man was killed and 2 other people were shot. This is the second murder in less than 10 hours in Charlotte.
After midnight on March 15, 2021, officers responded to an assault with a deadly weapon 911 call. When they arrived, they located an adult male victim with an apparent gunshot wound. The victim was pronounced deceased on the scene by medics. A second victim was also located and transported by medics to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
A short time later, a third victim showed up at a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Homicide Unit detectives responded to the scene to conduct an investigation, and Crime Scene Search responded to process the scene and collect physical evidence. Representatives of the Mecklenburg County District Attorney’s Homicide Prosecution Team, Victim’s Assistance, Crime’s Stoppers, and Operations Command also responded to the scene.
Just hours earlier on March 14, 2021 a man was shot and killed on Delta Lake Drive in Charlotte.
