MAN ACCUSED OF POINTING GUN AT MOTHER OF HIS CHILD

39-year-old Allan Baker was arrested accused of firing shots at the mother of his child at apartments in Charlotte, NC.

On July 4, 2024 officers responded to a domestic violence related call. The female victim reported that her child’s father identified as Allan Baker pointed a gun at her and shot at her while her 5-year-old son was beside her. Follow Charlotte Alerts on Instagram.

The victim advised that Allan called her several times the prior night asking her if he could spend the night at her place.

She refused to allow him to stay. At approximately 10:00 AM on July 4th the victim walked out her apartment and was immediately confronted by Allan, according to police.

Allan was allegedly standing at the top of the stairs holding a handgun. Allan is accused of pointing the gun at the female and her 5-year-old child.

The female victim began running down the last set of stairs with her child, when she heard a gunshot.

Allan is accused of chasing her down the stairs getting in front of her and pointing the gun directly at her face.

Allan then ran into the woods. When Officers arrived on scene, they set up a perimeter to locate the suspect but were unsuccessful.

The female victim explained that she shares a 5 year old son with Allan but they are longer in a relationship. Allan was arrested on July 8, 2024 charged with assault with deadly weapon intent to kill, communicating threats, discharge firearm in city, domestic violence, and assault on female.
