JUVENILE OFFENDER ESCAPES FROM COURT, HAS HISTORY OF UNPREDICTABLE BEHAVIOR

The Division of Adult Correction and Juvenile Justice reports a juvenile identified as Jericho W. has escaped from the Robeson County Court located at 500 N. Elm Street in Lumberton, NC.

The escape occurred at approximately 12:10 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2019 following a morning court appearance.

Jericho has been housed at the Cumberland Juvenile Detention Center since Oct. 14, 2019.

Division officials have a high degree of concern for the safety of both the Jericho and the public, due to a prior history of assaultive and unpredictable behavior.
