HOMICIDE UNIT COP DIES UNEXPECTEDLY

Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Officer Angela Starnes died without notice on May 16, 2022. Angela was a officer in the homicide unit in Charlotte, NC.

Angela died in the morning at her home. Funeral arrangements have not been set.

The CMPD police chief said this:

Details surrounding how Angela died are still forthcoming. An investigation is underway. Many officers have died without notice, including Michael Rorie.

Officer De’Jon Packer, 24, with the San Jose Police Department died from a fentanyl overdose, according to medical examiner officials.
