On August 22, 2022 Jayquan Marquise, 24, was killed in a vehicular collision on Pat Garrett Street Charlotte, NC. Katiyah Hines, 27, is charged with his death. Katiyah is a hair stylist in Charlotte, she owns Braid Barbie.
The crash was at 12:45 a.m. Katiyah was driving a vehicle with Jayquan inside as the passenger. The vehicle collided with two parked cars on the side of the road. The vehicle overturned.
Jayquan was pronounced deceased on scene. Katiyah was transported to the hospital with minor injuries. She was later arrested and charged with felony death by vehicle.
There were no people in the 2 parked cars, but all vehicles sustained heavy damage.
