56-year-old Terry Thomas was found dead in a garbage truck on September 25, 2019 in Piedmont, SC.
The Greenville County Coroner said workers at the Waste Industries Piedmont Transfer Station found Terry dead as they unloaded a trash truck on Wednesday afternoon.
170 different places where garbage is collected are being examined to determine how Terry’s body ended up in the garbage truck.
An autopsy found that Terry died from several blunt force injuries to his body, but more investigation is needed before ruling whether it was a homicide or some other manner of death.
