On December 9, 2021 Tamara Brown, 31, was sentenced to 8-11 years in prison for killing her baby boy Chi-Liam in Charlotte NC. The baby was found dead in a cemetery, he froze to death. Tamara plead guilty to killing her baby boy.
Tamara has mental problems. She says voices were telling her to kill her baby Chi-Liam. Tamara went to the cemetery late at night and placed the baby on the ground in the blistering cold weather.
Tamara left the baby at the cemetery. Baby Chi-Liam slowly froze to death from the frigid cold. The official cause of death was hypothermia. Hours later a civilian was walking and saw the baby on the ground dead, lifeless from the freezing temperatures. Authorities were called to the scene.
Tamara went to a Walmart and radomly robbed people. Police arrived to the Walmart and Tamara was taken to a metal health facility. However, Tamara was not arrested until March 20, 2020.
Tamara was originally charged with murder, negligent child abuse serious bodily injury, and robbery.
But in December 2021 before going to trial, Tamara pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter, felony child abuse, and common law robbery. She will serve 8-11 years in prison.
