ATTEMPTED MURDER AND VIOLENT SHOOTING LEADS TO ARREST

Date:

On November 6, 2019 Zymirah Joseph, 18, was charged in an attempted murder shooting.

On October 8, 2019 an adult male victim was inside his residence located on Lake Drive Charlotte, NC. The victim had invited the suspect, Zymirah over to smoke some marijuana with him, officials say.

When Zymirah arrived, the victim noticed that an unknown male was with Zymirah and that the unknown male was hiding.

Zymirah is accused of attempting to lure the victim out of the house; when that did not work the unknown male suspect fired into the residence with a handgun.

The victim was struck multiple times but was able to close the door and prevent the suspects from entering his residence.  The suspects fled and the victim was transported to the hospital where he was treated for serious, but non-life threatening gunshot wounds.

Zymirah was located on North Tryon Street on November 6. She was taken into custody. Zymirah is charged with Attempted Murder, ADWIKISI, 5 counts of Shooting into an Occupied Property, and Felony Conspiracy.

The second suspect has not yet been identified.
