ARREST MADE YEARS AFTER TEENAGER MURDERED ON NORTH TRYON STREET

On January 3, 2024 James Mason, 23, was arrested charged with the murder of Calvin Washington, 17. The murder occurred in Charlotte, NC.

Calvin was shot on September 30, 2020 on North Tryon Street in broad daylight. 

A private party drove Calvin to Atrium Health Hospital. However, on October 1, 2020 Calvin succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the hospital.

Over 3 years later James was arrested charged with Calvin’s murder.
