Reco Perry, 23, is charged with the April 28, 2019 Charlotte, NC murder of Shalecia Williams, 21. Beyonce Rorie, 18, was charged with being an accessory after the fact to murder.
Reco was identified as a suspect, and a murder warrant was issued for his arrest. On April 29, 2019, detectives with the Charlote Mecklenburg Police Violent Criminal Apprehension Team (VCAT) collaborated with the Gastonia Police Department to locate and arrest Reco. Reco is charged with murder. It is unclear why Beyonce was charged with being an accessory after the fact.
On Sunday April 28, Shalecia was shot along with another man that she was with in the afternoon hours at the Heritage Park Apartments. Both victims were transported to the hospital, but that is where Shalecia unfortunately died.
The man survived and is being evaluated at the hospital.
