APARTMENT FIRE NEAR HIDDEN VALLEY WAS INTENTIONAL

The police arson unit and the Charlotte Fire Investigation Task Force are investigating the apartment fire that occurred this morning on Prospect Drive Charlotte, NC. The fire was set intentionally by someone.

At 4:32 a.m. a large fire was reported at the Hunter’s Pointe Apartments on Prospect Drive. The Charlotte Fire Department reported an apartment building with flames through the roof and immediately requested a second truck. Fire investigators and arson detectives were notified and responded to the scene.

During the investigation it was determined that the fire had been intentionally set which displaced five residents and damaged an office. The fire was estimated to have caused more than $200,000 dollars in damage.

Everyone made it out of the apartment safely and no one was injured.
