8 people were killed and multiple people were injured after being shot at a Fed Ex facility late Thursday night April 15, 2021. The shooting was in Indianapolis, Indiana. The gunman arrived to the Fed Ex facility, got out of his vehicle and started shooting people. Most of the victims were Fed Ex employees or contractors.
The suspect then moved inside of the building and continued firing, hitting more people. The gunman eventually killed himself from a self-inflicted gunshot.
8 people total were killed. An additional 5 more people were shot and transported to area hospitals.
FedEx released a statement saying:
“We are deeply shocked and saddened by the loss of our team members following the tragic shooting at our FedEx Ground facility in Indianapolis. Our most heartfelt sympathies are with all those affected by this senseless act of violence.”
