On December 10, 2021 five people were shot on Marney Avenue Charlotte, NC in Grier Town. The massive shooting was during a 10 p.m. balloon drop for a little girl that died from a heart condition.
The balloon drop was in process at night time when a vehicle drove by and fired several shots. People began running for cover. 5 people were shot and are facing life threatening injures.
4 people were murdered in west Charlotte during a black freedom celebration.
