3RD AMAZON EMPLOYEE INFECTED WITH CORONAVIRUS IN CHARLOTTE

A third Amazon worker has tested positive for the Coronavirus (COVID-19) in the Charlotte, NC area. Amazon announced on April 10, 2020.

Click here to see on April 6, 2020 Amazon confirmed that two other employees at Charlotte-area facilities also tested positive for the Coronavirus.

The 3rd infected Amazon worker was employed at the CLT4 site, a distribution center at 8000 Tuckaseegee Road Charlotte, NC.

Amazon Spokeswoman Alyssa Bronikowski says:

“We are supporting the individual who is recovering. We are following guidelines from health officials and medical experts, and are taking extreme measures to ensure the safety of employees at our site. Masks are now available at all of our locations.”

Amazon says it has taken safety measures, including maintaining social distance at warehouses and centers, adding distance between drivers and customers during deliveries. and increased cleanings at facilities.

Amazon also now temperature checks employees daily, according to a company statement. If an employee has a temperature over the CDC-recommended 100.4 degrees, they are asked to return home and are paid up to five hours of their scheduled shift that day.

A Target employee was also infected with the Coronavirus.
