3-YEAR-OLD CHILD OVERDOSES AND SWALLOWS METHAMPHETAMINE, 2 ADULTS ARRESTED

Tony Parris, 54, and Cynthia Lane, 45, were arrested on November 9, 2019 after a 3-year-old child in their supervision ate methamphetamine while playing with toys in Alabama.

Authorities arrived to find the toddler unconscious.

The child was rushed to a Gadsden, Alabama hospital, and then taken by helicopter to Birmingham Children’s Hospital. The toddler remains in critical condition.

Tony and Cynthia face charges of chemical endangerment of a child, as well as illegal possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.
