Three women from the United States were found dead in a hotel in Belize on February 22, 2025. The women were on vacation and were identified as Kaoutar Naqqad, 23, Wafae El-Arar, 26, and Imane Mallah, 24. They were at the Royal Kahal Beach Resort in San Pedro, Belize. The women all had a buildup of fluid in their lungs.

The women were on vacation from Massachusetts celebrating Wafae’s birthday. They were all of Moroccon descent and knew each other. Belize is a popular tourist destination for American travelers. More vacation news here.
They were on vacation in a hotel in Belize. The women were partying and having a good time. They had liquor, vodka, tequila, vapes, and marijuana gummy bears in the room.
Housekeeping at the hotel alerted management that the women did not respond to door knocks for two consecutive days.
Hotel management then used a master key to open the room door. Kaoutar, Wafae, and Imane were found dead on Feb. 22nd in the hotel room.
Kaoutar, Wafae, and Imane all had white froth on their mouths.
Surveillance video shows the women entering the room at Royal Kahal Beach Resort in San Pedro, Belize, on Feb. 21st but not coming out again. No one else was seen entering the hotel suite.The women all had fluid build up in their lungs, causing acute pulmonary edema. There was no sign of foul play.
Carbon monoxide was ruled out. Belize is listed as a Level 2 travel advisory by the U.S. Department of State because of crime in the country.
