23-YEAR-OLD MAN SHOT AND KILLED DURING STATE WIDE STAY AT HOME ORDER

Date:

Jontavius Hall, 23, was shot and killed on December 13, 2020 at midnight. The shooting was in Charlotte, NC on Caroway Street.

Officers were on a self-initiated traffic stop near the intersection of Pavilion Blvd. and University City Blvd. when they heard several shots being fired in the area. As they began to investigate the source of the fired shots, they located Jontavius with a gunshot wound on Caroway Street.

Paramedics were immediately requested and began administering life-saving efforts to Jontavius. However, Jontavius was pronounced deceased on the scene a short time later.

No arrests have been made. The victim was killed during a state wide mandated stay at home order. It is likely the suspect broke that order.
