2 SUSPECTS ARRESTED AFTER DOUBLE MURDER INVESTIGATION

19-year-old Darrick Johnson and Charlie James Stiles, 24, are charged in the double homicide of 2 men that occurred in Gastonia, NC. On March 8, 2021 the suspects were arrested with the assistance from the U.S. Marshals. Darrick is charged with two counts of first-degree murder and three counts of first-degree attempted murder. 

The double homicide unfolded on February 22, 2021 at 7:30 p.m. on Woodleaf Drive in Gastonia during a shooting. 50-year-old Christopher Lee Brooks was found dead on the scene, and two other people were wounded in the shooting. 

On the very next day 54-year-old Matthew Christopher Allison died from his injuries sustained during the shooting. Mathew died at the hospital.

Charlie is charged with two counts of first-degree murder, one count of attempted first-degree murder, and one count of robbery with a dangerous weapon.

A third suspect is still on the run.
