On October 15, 2022 a shooting broke out at Livingstone College during homecoming week. The college is located in Salisbury, NC. 2 people were shot.
The shooting was during a concert on campus at 11 p.m. Several people began shooting at each other during an argument that got out of hand. 2 people were shot.
2 more Livingstone College students were hurt as crowds of people ran away from the gunfire.
Livingstone had this to say after the shooting:
“Our priority is and remains to ensure the mental wellness of our students and to evaluate our public safety measures to create a safe, living, learning and working environment, we are saddened because our students, alumni, family and friends were exposed to this senseless act of violence.“
The rapper Asian Doll was performing at Livingstone College during the shooting.No arrests have been made.
