Ashly Zelaya, 22, and Roxana Mejia, 22, both were arrested on May 21, 2021. The women are accused of breaking into a man’s apartment and stealing televisions in Charlotte, NC.
On Friday, May 21, 2021 at 1:37 p.m. officers were called to an apartment on Spanish Quarter Circle in Charlotte.
It was determined that a breaking and entering had occurred. Officials say 2 flat screen tv’s and clothes were stolen.
Authorities say Ashly and Roxana intended to permanently deprive the victim of his property without permission, while also causing injury to the victim’s property.
Ashly and Roxana were arrested soon thereafter and charged with breaking and entering, larceny, and trespass. Ashly was arrested in 2020 after allegedly physically assaulting another man and damaging his personal property.
