IMMIGRATION RAIDS & DEPORTATION OPERATIONS IN CHARLOTTE

Charlotte Alerts wants to give you a look at the real people behind the immigration arrest numbers. Recent immigration roundups in Charlotte have resulted in the arrest photos seen here. There have already been hundreds of immigration arrest in Charlotte just this year alone.

Some of the individuals arrested during the operations will face federal criminal prosecution for illegal entry and illegal re-entry. Arrestees who are not being federally prosecuted will be detained in ICE custody and administratively processed for removal from the U.S.

This week ICE emphasized that they will continue to develop biographical and biometric data on immigrants to improve the tracking and deportation of violators.

Chief Patrol Agent Felix Chavez released a statement saying:

> “The security of our border is our primary mission, and apprehensions like this help to keep our communities safe. Our agents will remain vigilant and alert to protect the American society against dangerous criminals.”
