IMMIGRATION RAID ON STASH HOUSE BUST LEADS TO NUMEROUS ARRESTS

A law enforcement action between the U.S. Border Patrol and the Laredo Police Department led to the closing of a stash house and numerous arrests in Laredo, Texas. 

The incident occurred on the afternoon of October 29, 2020 when Border Patrol agents responded to a request for assistance from the police regarding a report of suspicious activity at a home. 

Officers allegedly obtained consent to search the residence. Upon entering the property, officers and agents discovered 68 individuals inside. None were wearing personal protective equipment and were medically screened at the scene. 

They were all determined to be illegally in the United States from the countries of Mexico, Ecuador, Guatemala, El Salvador, and Honduras. They were taken into custody by the U.S. Border Patrol. Investigation into the harboring case was turned over to Special Agents of Homeland Security Investigations.
