Aerial footage from the United States Coast Guard shows cocaine smugglers fleeing officers on a high-speed boat while dumping large bags of cocaine into the Pacific Ocean near southern California.
The smugglers eventually were shot down or either ran out of fuel.
Authorities seized 2,300 pounds of cocaine from the smuggling boat after it was finally caught by the Cutter Steadfast, a Coast Guard vessel from San Diego.
The video shows at least nine people aboard the fleeing boat, all nine were taken into custody.
