METHAMPHETAMINE WORTH OVER $2.8 MILLION INTERCEPTED AT WORLD TRADE BRIDGE

U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers at the World Trade Bridge seized methamphetamine with a street value of over $2.8 million in one enforcement action.

The enforcement action occurred on Friday, January 15t, 2021 at the World Trade Bridge in Laredo, Texas.

Officers assigned to the cargo facility encountered a tractor hauling a shipment of stone handcrafts arriving from Mexico. The 2001 Volvo tractor and its shipment were referred for a canine and non-intrusive imaging system inspection, resulting in the discovery of 24 packages containing 140.56 pounds of methamphetamine within the trailer. 

The narcotics have an estimated street value of $2,811,305.
